Jason Stanley is a partner in the firm.  Born and educated in the Isle of Man, Jason studied Law at Manchester University before taking the English Law Society Final Examination at Chester College of Law and returning to the Isle of Man to take the Manx Bar Examinations.  Called to the Manx Bar in 1991, Jason has an enviable breadth of knowledge in a wide range of areas of Isle of Man law.  Jason's  experience includes many areas of Isle of Man law, including civil litigation, personal injury claims, medical negligence, land law, conveyancing and leasing, and private client matters (including wills, probate and powers of attorney).  Jason is a former President of the Isle of Man Law Society (2011-2013), and a former Returning Officer for the constituency of Castletown.  
 

Jenifer Stanley is a partner in the firm.  Following a degree at Bristol University and the English Law Society Finals at the College of Law, Lancaster Gate, Jenifer qualified as an English Solicitor in 1990 commencing her articles with Penningtons before joining the City of London office of Travers Smith Braithwaite. She returned to the Island in 1991 where she was one of the two full time lawyers in Travers Smith’s offshore office, where she specialised in corporate and commercial law. After the move of that office to Cains, she took a ten year break from the law. Returning in 2009 Jenifer joined Kelly Luft Stanley & Ashton as a trainee advocate and passed the Manx Bar exams. Jenifer was called to the Manx Bar in January 2011 and is now a member of the Kelly Luft Stanley & Ashton private client team.



Peter Taylor is a senior Advocate within the firm. After a long career in the shipping industry, latterly as a surveyor with the Isle of Man Ship Registry during which time he obtained his degree in law. Peter qualified as an Isle of Man Advocate in 2010, since which time he has specialised in litigation, gaining a wide range of experience, including personal injury claims, shipping claims, contract and tort, employment law, commercial law, mental health law, and criminal law. Peter has appeared before all of the Courts of the Isle of Man. In addition to his qualification as a Manx Advocate, Peter has a degree in mechanical engineering and has been a Chartered Engineer since 1995. Peter is a panel advocate for the seafarer union Nautilus and an accredited Police Station Advocate.   .
